Sakai book: sample chapter on web services

I’ve been asked to write a review of the recently released Sakai book, Sakai Courseware Management: The Official Guide, and my copy just arrived hot off the press! I’m looking forward to a good read.

Watch this space for the book review in the near future, but for now here’s a sample chapter from the book all about the Sakai web services:

  1. Sadly I cannot access to the chapter you are offering.

Maybe I can ask you the question directly: do you know if sakai web services are available for manipulating calendar (adding / removing events) ?

Such functionalities do not seems to be in sakai 2.7.1 ?

    Cheers,
    Julien.

  2. Hi, There is web service support for the Calendar, but it is limited. That said, the imports and injection is there already so it would be trivial to write new ones that use the Calendar API.

    cheers,
    Steve
